At the time of his death he was president of the Dodge Center Creamery Association and agent for the Home Mutual Tornado and Cyclone Insurance Company of Minnesota. He was also an agent for and on the board of directors of The Claremont Farmer's Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. Kording of Napa, Cal; his brother's wife, Mrs. Eva Gripp of Long Beach, Calif, who lost her husband February last, many other distant relatives, and a host of friends. Though his last days were beclouded with trials and suffering, yet a ray of light came to him through the joy and comfort of prayer and fellowship with the Master, and the assurance of being accepted by Him. Having been a loving husband and father, he will be greatly missed in the home and community. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Arthur Thomson officiated. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery.3

  • ObituaryText: Brief mention was made in this paper last week of the death of Mrs. A.C. Blank, of Germantown, who passed away at the hospital at Huron Lake, death being caused from the effects of an operation performed a few days previous. Anna Luck was born on the home farm in Germantown, July 8, 1875. Here she lived with her parents until a young lady. On Nov. 30, 1899 she was married at Redwood Falls to Mr. A.C. Blank. The couple lived at Redwood several years, after which they came to Germantown where they resided ona farm two years. They then moved to Nicolett, Minn., where they lived one year, returning to Jeffers, where they have since resided on the farm north of town. Mrs. Blank was a very highly esteemed woman, was a kind and loving wife and neighbor, and it is indeed a sad blow to the husband, and the sympathy of all is extended to him. All who have met Mrs. Blank found her a friend and the whole community for miles around, gathered at the church to attend the last sad rites. The funeral was one of the largest ever here, the church being packed to its utmost capacity and over half of the people had to remain outside. The funeral was held in the German Evangelical church in Germantown last Sunday Rev. Simon preaching the funeral sermon. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near the church. Besides the sorrowing husband, she leaves her parents and four sisters and two brothers, names; Miss Herth Luck, Mrs. H.L. Harmon, Mrs. P. A. Prodoehl, Mrs. Chris Essig, E.F. Luck and H.J. Luck, to mourn her loss.3
