Mrs. Luck had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. T.A. Wartman for several years, and had also spent some time with her daughters, Mrs. Amelia Essig and Mrs. P.A. Prodoehl. In spite of her advanced years, she remained quite active assisting with household duties until just a few months ago. She was a fine Christian character, a loving mother and a good neighbor. The remains were laid to rest in the Red Rock cemetery. The pall bearers were five great grandsons, Glenard and Alvin Essig, Willard Blank, Kermit, and Wilford Nickel and a grandson, Herman Luck. The Review joins in extending sympathy. "God thought to give the sweetest thing In His almight power To earth; and deeply pondering What it should be--one hour In fondest joy and love of heart, Out-weighing every other, He moved the gates of Heaven apart And gave to earth--a Mother."4
